Interesting @BCuban Do you feel it's different to expect payment for writing a story than to demand China to change its laws?

@1938media that is a weird story, how could that kid not know he is not allowed to do that... he had to know..

I expect there are many things that are not illegal but some people find morally reprehensible. There are probably also many things that are illegal that people don't find morally reprehensible. I think there are very few clear-cut cases. I would say that in fact most stories that do appear in mainstream media do so because of some sort of exchange between consenting parties. I think the fact that so few Americans seem to be aware of this is a sign of how poor the American education system is at teaching critical thinking -- and topics such as "media literacy" ought to in fact be part of a basic education.
